Vacation.com Conference to Focus on Tech Training

Vacation.com plans a program for its annual conference, set for June 22 to 26 in Las Vegas, that is loaded with hands-on technology training.

The tech focus will feature the group`s own AgentNet; Amadeus and Amadeus Cruise; and these back-office products: Trams, ClientBase and WinBase.


Carrying the theme, “Winners Take All,” the conference will offer two additional learning tracks as follows:

? Supplier product workshops, presented by Vacation.com preferred suppliers with emphasis on marketing, selling and serving clients. These sessions also will focus on maximizing supplier relationships.

? Educational workshops, covering topics such as making business plans, maximizing co-op supplier funds, putting on a themed event for clients, using proven sales techniques and building a segmented client database.

General Sessions will focus on Vacation.com`s “Engagement” program, designed to harness the value of member client lists, and on new real-time booking options and other alternative ways for handling travel sales.


Registration fees are $109 for one agent from a member agency; $99 per person for two agents of the same agency; or $89 per person for three or more agents from the same agency. The delegate room rate at Caesar`s Palace is $125 a night.
