HitchHiker is the first software developer in Germany, to have achieved Amadeus certification for the development of the XML COM v2 interface.
Being developers of leading edge, travel and tourism based technology systems and platforms, this developments forms part of HitchHiker`s ongoing technical development, to further enhance the range of eCommerce solutions, that HitchHiker can integrate within their Internet Backend (IBE) product modules.

Globally only three other companies hold certification for the Amadeus XML COM interface. Therefore HitchHiker is the only company, able to offer `Transparent Connectivity` to Amadeus using this new, system independent data transfer protocol, to the market in general. The other 3 developments against this API, do exist but are used only for internal company processes and procedures.

HitchHiker`s certified interface, permits the efficient and rapid query and interrogation of the Amadeus System. Thus allowing the booking of individual components and multiple sector itineraries, based on net and published fare tariffs, over HitchHiker`s e-Commerce technology platforms. The Internet Backend delivers the appropriate qualified, valid and available tariffs and/or reservations according, to the ever complex tariff rules and conditions.
