WizCom International Ltd., (“WizCom”), a leading supplier of reservation and information management systems for the travel industry, has announced that U.K.-based Macdonald Hotels will begin utilizing WizCom`s enterprise connectivity technology, or “switch” as it is commonly called.

The connection to WizCom, implemented in an accelerated time frame, will provide Heritage Hotels, part of Macdonald Hotels PLC, with full access to the major Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) and Internet booking sites.

WizCom`s enterprise connectivity provides hotel and car rental companies with the highest level of GDS connectivity available. Macdonald Hotels PLC will be able to utilize its current central reservations system and connect to the major GDSs via a single connection to WizCom.

Established in 1990 with two hotels in Aberdeenshire, Macdonald Hotels plc has grown rapidly and is now one of the largest hotel operators in the UK. The recent acquisition of the 48 Heritage hotels complemented Macdonald Hotels existing portfolio, strengthening the group`s presence in the South of England and creating a portfolio of quality 4-star hotels in the finest locations throughout the UK.
