Explore Jamaica`s Hidden Depths With ‘Sea Trek’

From November, visitors to Jamaica will be able to come face to face with tropical fish, coral reef and exotic marine life with å‘Sea Trekå’, Jamaicaå‘s newest attraction.
Located at the beautiful Doctor’s Cave Beach on Montego Bay’s Hip Strip, ‘Sea Trek’ is an underwater adventure tour with a difference.  Under the supervision of trained Sea Trek guides, visitors don a lightweight safety helmet and descend twenty feet under water.  The helmet facilitates natural breathing allowing visitors to walk around on the bottom of the Caribbean Sea exploring coral reef and tropical marine life.  Your hair won’t even get wet and all you need is a swimsuit!
David Barber, Deputy Director of Tourism, said “Jamaica has so many beautiful natural attractions, and its tropical marine life is one that really shouldn’t be missed by any visitor to the island.  Sea Trek is a wonderful addition to Jamaica’s tourist attractions as it allows adults and children alike to enjoy the treasures of the Caribbean Sea.”
Sea Trek is one of the safest ways to explore aquatic life.  No certification is necessary and the attraction is open to anyone aged eight years and over.  A Sea Trek session, lasting about 45 minutes, costs US$65.
