Splash Resorts, based in Coral Gables, Fla., will break ground next month on
Whispers Resort & Casino, a 203-suite inclusive property in Cap Cana, Dominican
Republic. The resort, planned to open in July 2003, will be the first in a
master development of luxury hotels, four Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses,
retail shops and a marina.
Kevin Wojciechowski, executive vice president, said nightly rates will start at $200 per person, double. Commission will be 15%, the
same as at Splash`s St. Lucia property.
