e-Travel, Inc. has announced that Rob Wald, senior director, corporate and product marketing, has been appointed as a member to the Technology Committee of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA).

NBTA`s committees and task forces enable members to work in special interest areas as well as to contribute to their professional growth in business travel. The Technology Committee focuses on keeping business travel professionals apprised of new technological advances within the industry. Its mission is to educate members about business travel related technology issues, trends and developments affecting travel management.

As a member, he will leverage his ability to recognize trends crossing the travel and technology industries, such as the impact of integrating Web fares into a corporate travel program, for the benefit of NBTA members and the travel industry in general. Membership to the Technology Committee enables Wald to help the industry tackle challenging issues, such as how to increase utilization of technology that includes online booking.

“Technology is playing an increasing role in the corporate travel department,” said Wald. “I am excited about the opportunity to help NBTA members understand and benefit from the rapidly expanding capabilities of travel management technology.” e-Travel, Inc. provides online managed travel services for businesses worldwide.
