Online travel expert Travelocity.co.uk today (10 January, 2002) announced the launch of its new cruise offering.
Travelocity.co.uk has signed a revenue sharing deal with leading independent travel agent, Page & Moy, bringing over 6,000 cruise itineraries to its site. This deal is an extension of the existing relationship with Page & Moy, who provides the content for Travelocity.co.uk`s `late deals` section.
The cruise market in the UK is the second biggest in the world and growing, and travel companies are increasingly recognising the importance of this specialised sector of the travel business. Travelocity.co.uk has cruises available on 140 ships and 24 cruise lines, including leading cruise operators P&O/Princess Cruises, Cunard & Fred Olsen.
Customers can search for a Travelocity cruise by going to www.travelocity.co.uk and clicking on the cruise icon. Once customers have identified the cruise they want, they will be asked to complete the booking process by telephone, quoting the reference number of the cruise they have found online. Alternatively, customers can ring Travelocity`s cruise team direct on 0870 906 3527.
Jamie Cole, managing director Travelocity.co.uk said: “By linking with established cruise agent, Page & Moy, Travelocity customers can be assured they will be getting top quality advice and information from our dedicated team of advisors. As Page & Moy is a member of the Cruise Lines` prestigious agents club, Travelocity is also able to offer extra savings on most advertised cruise line fares.”
Andrew Healy, head of e-business at Page & Moy Travel Ltd, said: “Page & Moy is delighted to extend its partnership with Travelocity in this way, and to be able to offer the widest range of cruise deals to Travelocity`s customers. We are sure regular Travelocity visitors will make use of the service and that it will attract new visitors looking for the best cruise offers.”
Features available on Travelocity.co.uk cruises include:
á Hot Deals - extra special offers that are updated regularly. Customers can search by destination or cruise line for current deals available.
