Record Bookings From Hotel Reservations Network.

Hotel Reservations Network started the year 2002 with a bang by breaking its previous single-day booking record.
On January 9th, HRN booked over $2.5 million in hotel rooms, soaring past its previous record set on August 7, 2001.

“We are thrilled about booking $2.5 million in hotel rooms in a single day,” said Bob Diener, president of Hotel Reservations Network. “This record shows that HRN is benefiting from consumer migration from offline to online booking. Customers are recognizing the incredible hotel values and availability that HRN offers, and hotels are pleased with the strong sales at their properties in a difficult market. What is most exciting to us is that we have barely scratched the surface of the potential of this huge lodging market.” Diener added, “And we are reaching record highs during a recession when room rates are at historic lows. HRN`s business model has proven to be resilient, despite one of the worst travel downturns in recent history.”

Hotel Reservations Network is a majority-owned subsidiary of USA Networks, Inc.`s Interactive Group.
