Uniglobe Travel appointed two executives to new positions in its U.S. office in Irvine, Calif.

Malcolm Read was appointed regional president of Uniglobe Travel USA, a new title.

He will oversee the franchise sales, agency development, marketing, sales and supplier relations in the U.S. He retains a second position at Uniglobe, overseeing global sales and marketing with Uniglobe Travel International.

Meanwhile, Michelle Desreux, global operations manager for Uniglobe Travel International, was appointed senior vice president, special operations, for Uniglobe Travel USA.

She will oversee the business unit that provides ticketing, ARC reporting and accounting services to Uniglobe`s home-based and brick-and-mortar franchisees, while retaining her global operations duties as well.
