Delta and Delta Express to Offer 10% Savings at delta.com
The holidays are drawing to a close and
the long winter looms ahead. Now, it is time for looking forward to a winter
getaway. Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) and Delta Express introduce deeply
discounted winter sale fares to destinations worldwide, with savings of up to
an additional 10 percent off these sale fares when tickets are purchased at
delta.com.
The winter sale fares can be used for travel through March 14, 2002—
during what is typically a slow leisure travel period—but travelers have to
make their plans fast since these sale fares are available only through
Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002. For travel to Europe, travel must commence on or before
March 14, 2002, and must be completed by March 20, 2002. Some blackout dates
and other important restrictions apply; see below for details.
Simply by purchasing the sale fares through Delta`s Web site, delta.com,
customers will receive the additional 10 percent off each round-trip sale
fare. Travel agencies using Delta`s Online Agency Service Center also can
access the additional savings for their customers who do not have Internet
connections. In addition to enjoying the online savings, customers earn a
SkyMiles bonus of 1,000 miles for each round trip or 500 miles each way for
each ticket purchased at delta.com.
Also during the sale period (Jan. 1-6, 2002), Delta is teaming with
American Express to offer triple miles for purchases of Delta tickets made
with the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card. Throughout the promotion period, Delta
SkyMiles Credit Card members will earn three miles for every dollar spent at
Delta, rather than the typical bonus of two miles for every dollar.
