Hotel Reservations Network Announces Top 10 Destinations of 2001

Hotel Reservations Network (ROOM) (HRN), ( ), the leading provider of discount hotel accommodations worldwide, announced today their top 10 destinations for 2001. The number one destination for the year was Las Vegas followed by New York and Orlando. HRN through the third quarter of 2001, booked over 3 million room nights in more than 170 cities worldwide.

According to HRN the Top 10 destinations are:

    1. Las Vegas

    2. New York

    3. Orlando

    4. Chicago

    5. San Francisco

    6. Miami

    7. Boston

    8. Washington

    9. New Orleans

    10. Reno

Las Vegas jumped to the #1 position, ahead of New York, largely due to
the large number of cancellations following the Sept. 11 tragedies.
“However”, noted Bob Diener, president of Hotel Reservations Network:
“New York is such a great value now, with many first class hotels offered
on between $99 and $149 a night, that there has been a
large surge in reservations the last several weeks.”

Making the list for the first time is, Reno, a popular drive destination,
that jumped to the #10 spot, as many travelers are now driving to their
    destination instead of flying.
