Hotel Data Systems, a leading provider of marketing based central reservations technology for the hospitality industry, has signed an agreement with Mexico`s Grupo Fratur for use of the XENON®Enterprise Reservation System® by all 24 Fratur hotels in Mexico, in an ASP mode.
The agreement was made through HDS`s business partner in Mexico, Integracion Tecnologica Hotelera S.A. DE C.V.
Grupo Fratur is an independent franchisee group of Howard Johnson`s International, whose parent company is the Cendant Corporation, one of the world`s leading franchisors of mid-economy market lodging brands and the world`s largest vacation ownership company. Grupo Fratur will also use the XENON®Enterprise Reservation System® for its Casa Inn brand in Mexico.
The XENON®Enterprise Reservation System® is a full-featured, scalable marketing based CRS solution, meeting the requirements of all segments of the hospitality industry - from limited service, to business class and luxury. With its intuitive, sales based Agent`s graphical user interface, XML based web tools, GDS connectivity and parameter-driven functionality, the XENON®Enterprise Reservation System is able to meet the varied requirements of Grupo Fraturs multi-brand portfolio.
Felix Romano, President of Grupo Fratur stated, ” With our rapid growth, we felt that we needed to update our internal central reservation systems to compete effectively. Although we looked at several CRS systems, we felt that XENON®CRS was best suited for us. Even though HDS has installations worldwide, our decision was made easier because the software is installed and functioning with several leading hotel companies in Mexico, and there is a very strong local presence through Integracion Tecnologica Hotelera. We will be using XENON®CRS in an ASP mode, utilizing the networking capabilities of the Internet. This for us is an extremely cost effective way to compete with the other chains by using a technologically advanced CRS. The software will serve both our brands, hosted by HDS, and give us tremendous marketing and customer relationship benefits, and also provide us an integrated web site for on-line reservations. ”
Paul Firos, President of HDS commented “Grupo Fratur will use xenon®CRS in an ASP mode, hosted in Connecticut. Although this technology has been around for a while, we are pleased to be the first to offer it at an extremely competitive price to smaller hotel chains. Our marketing plan calls for an ever-increasing number of small hotel chains to join us and our strong presence in Mexico will help us gain additional market share in 2002.” Commenting on the benefits an ASP mode has to offer to smaller hotel chains, Mr. Firos said “with the full-fledged functionality of XENON®ENTERPRISE RESERVATION SYSTEM, including the XML based Web tools (which are an integral part of the software), Grupo Fratur`s hotels will benefit from a top-of-the-line centralized reservations operation while delivering the same high level of service only larger hotel chains could afford.”
