Puerto Rico is booming it would seem, tourism figures are gradually picking up and now Mandara Spa (a division of Steiner Leisure), has announced that it will be building a 7, 000 Sq ft ultra luxury Spa comprising of eleven treatment rooms.
The spa will also encompass a meditation area and a fitness centre. Expected to be complete around autumn next year the spa will be located at the 600-room Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort in Rio Grande.
Another development occurring in Puerto Rico is the expansion of the Caribe Hilton San Juan, expecting completion of the 168 lagoon villas in the 264-villa Paseo Caribe project around December 2004. The property will total 910 rooms following completion of the second phase in 2005, and be the islands largest hotel.
