Caribbean Star grabs an award at WTM

One of the surprises for the Caribbean Star Airline contingent present at the prestigious World Travel Market recently concluded in the U.K., was the award of the title “Best Caribbean Inter Island Carrier”.


The award was received by President and Chief Operating Officer, Paul Moreira, at a function aboard the Sunborn Yacht Hotel at the Royal Victoria Dock in Newham. Mr. Moreira summed up his sentiments on the award simply by saying, “Caribbean Star has always aimed at providing the best service in the Caribbean. We have succeeded in doing so and now we are being recognised for it”. Also present to celebrate the occasion were, Edward Gilkes, General Manager, Commercial Operations, Sandra Scotland, Director of Marketing and Flight Attendant Marcia Hall.


It is the second award that the airline has received in less than three weeks. At a lavish ceremony at the new St Kitts Marriott, The Tourism Authority of St Kitts, named Caribbean Star “Best Airline serving St Kitts/Nevis”. The only other Caribbean carrier to be recognised was Air Jamaica, which was named “Best International Airline to the Caribbean”
