The Moorings, the world`s premier yacht charter company, and one of the largest in the Caribbean, today announced special anniversary savings and events throughout 2004 to celebrate its 35th anniversary.
“More than 800,000 people from around the world have sailed with us over the past 35 years,” said Raul Bermudez, vice president of charter sales and marketing for the company. “In recognition of our 35th anniversary year, we will provide our guests with special savings, product giveaways and other fun opportunities to celebrate with us.”
The Moorings will be celebrating throughout the year with offerings including:
Special 35th Anniversary savings of up 35% for vacations in the British Virgin Islands;
Introduction of The Moorings Sailing Festival Cup during the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival for 2004 and 2005. This cup will be presented to the top performing bareboat charter yacht in the three-day Sailing Festival that precedes the annual BVI Spring Regatta to be held March 29 - April 4, 2004. Special sailing packages are available for this week-long event.
Official Yacht provider for the 2004 Highland Spring HIHO windsurfing event. Celebrating its 25th year, this week-long windsurfing adventure in the BVI covers over 150 miles as an international field of competitors race from island to island. Special packages are available for competitor and spectator yachts. The dates are June 26 - July 4.
Photo contest for customers celebrating the past 35 years. The winners will be published in a national boating magazine, with a grand prize of a week-long charter vacation in the British Virgin Islands;
Gift certificates for boating equipment to be awarded at The Moorings
booth during boat shows around the country including the Miami International Boat Show in Miami, Florida; the Newport International Boat Show in Newport, Rhode Island and the U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Moorings will give away special anniversary prizes as part of its flotillas in the British Virgin Islands, The Grenadines and The Balearics. Flotillas provide both experienced and novice sailors with a great way to explore a destination in the company of fellow sailors, all carefully orchestrated and hosted by The Moorings.
