www.broadband-barbados.co.uk unleashed at WTM

Barbados was in high spirits today as once again the World Travel Awards honored their fantastic achievements as this year’s show. The setting was the World Travel Market Centre Stage at London’s Excel and the cause for celebration was not only the three top awards that the Caribbean island managed to earn, but also the fact that www.broadband-barbados.co.uk is now online and active.
The Hon. Noel Lynch (Barbados Minister of Tourism and International Transport), was elated at the fantastic run that Barbados are having and quipped; “We are delighted to have been awarded the Caribbean’s Leading Destination, but we would like to think that we are the worlds leading destination! There is no place like Barbados”
Mr. Lynch took to the stage to distribute awards to fellow travel professionals. Amongst those were Le Meridien Limassol Spa & Resort for the Worlds Leading Spa Resort and British Airways London Eye for Worlds Leading Attraction.
Barbados have a fabulous stand at this years show, truly displaying the wonders that the island has to offer.
The new site, in conjunction with Kuoni and powered by Fortune Cookie, is a superb audio visual tool for the consumer to fully witness and explore what Barbados has to offer as a destination. It contains full streaming video of not only the island and its history, but also individual hotels and resorts. It is also directly linked to Kuoni’s booking engine.
The site is the first of many to be made with to be produced in the Kuoni Broadband Travel series.
Mr. Lynch said of the site; “This this a great site for Barbados, it really gives the user a true taste of our wonderful island. It is a fantastic business tool and will only further international interest of our beautiful destination. He continued to pass comment on the World Travel Awards. “For Barbados the awards are a fantastic honour, and well deserved. It is a true reflection of what people in the industry really think of our island. We are are very delighted with our results.”
