La Cabana Resort, Aruba, goes wireless

In a move to enhance its position as a leading choice for meetings, La Cabana All Suite Beach Resort is now offering complete Wireless Internet Access. La Cabana is the first resort on Aruba to offer this cutting edge technology.

Guests staying at the resort can use their wireless-capable laptops anywhere throughout the premises or, for added convenience, laptops can be rented for US$25 per day (a deposit is required).

“Once upon a time, a vacation was a vacation, but now many travelers are working during their time off,” said Adwina Arends, La Cabana’s director of sales and marketing.
“Since we can’t stop them from working, we’re providing cutting-edge technology so that they can relax poolside while they work,” added Arends.

Wireless Internet Access will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the entire resort for a nominal charge of $15 - $18 per day (24 hours). Guests can sign up for the wireless service at the Guest Service Desk which is open daily from 8am - 10pm.

“With the advent of the Internet, more and more people are working from home these days,” said Arends. “Now, all you need is a laptop and a plane ticket and you can work from the Caribbean,” she added. “No one will know the difference!”
