Cape Air and Continental enter codeshare agreement and increase Caribbean service

Cape Air, one of the largest, independent, regional airlines in the United States, will expand it`s flight schedule between San Juan, Puerto Rico and both the U.S. and British Virgin Islands to over 50 daily round trip flights.
“We are committed to being your airline of choice to both the U.S. and British Virgin Islands,” said Cape Air President Dan Wolf. “To launch the season in style we are tripling our departures to the Virgin Islands from San Juan and joining forces with our new codeshare partner in the Caribbean, Continental Airlines in offering OnePass bonus miles. Through December 20, 2003, every passenger traveling on a Continental codeshare flight, operated by Cape Air, will receive double OnePass(R) miles to St. Thomas or St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands and between San Juan and Ponce in Puerto Rico.
“Our partnership with Continental Airlines has served both companies very well and we are happy to extend the double miles benefit on to our passengers. In addition, the expanded schedule will result in greater connection opportunities for Continental passengers,” Wolf added.
With the codeshare agreement passengers can fly from any worldwide Continental destination to San Juan, Puerto Rico and connect on Cape Air to St. Thomas, St. Croix, or Tortola in the Virgin Islands and Ponce, Puerto Rico.
