Barbados offer autumn special

Barbados has launched a new initiative, much in-line with that implemented recently by USVI, named ‘Fall for the Best of Barbados’. It is anticipated to increase market share for the Caribbean island. Initiatives include two free nights and daily breakfasts on a seven-night stay at hotels that serve meals.
Bill Silvermintz, vice president of marketing, the Americas, for the Barbados Tourism Authority hopes that the promotion, which was launched on Wednesday (Oct 1), will “gain more market share” before peak season kicks in.
Other perks include: one free night out of five and two free nights out of seven at all-inclusive properties, up to 25 hotels are participating in the package.
Up to 20 restaurants will offer a 50% discount on the second meal when the first meal is fully paid. Additionally Ground attractions now have discounts of up to 30%.
Silvermintz believes the program “will help give us a strong lead-in to the winter season which, for the first time, will feature a new non-stop service on Continental from Newark four times a week starting Dec. 18,”
He added that the autumn program will, “will create a buzz in the marketplace for Barbados.”
