St. Kitt`s PM opens Angelus Resort and Spa

St. Kitts and Nevis` Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Honorable Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, officially opened The Angelus Resort and Spa, a Caribbean Lifestyle Resort on the Atlantic side of Frigate Bay, in evening festivities held on Friday, July 11th.

“The Angelus Resort and Spa demonstrates the diversity of the tourism product being offered in the twin-island Federation,” said Dr. Douglas. He added that The Angelus Resort and Spa, which locals knew as the “Paradise Beach Resort” during its construction phase, signals investor confidence in St. Kitts and Nevis and demonstrates that there is continued growth in the tourism sector in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Angelus Resort and Spa, a 72-room resort, will be expanded to 108 suites and will provide several other amenities, including its own 10,000-square-foot reception building, a 4,800-square-foot swimming pool, as well as three restaurants.

The developers of The Angelus Resort and Spa said that they considered a number of Caribbean islands to do business with, but were swayed by the unique offerings of St. Kitts. The hardworking and educated labor force, the existing infrastructure, the serene atmosphere as well as the investor-friendly policies of the government, were all major factors influencing the decision to develop The Angelus Resort and Spa.
