Womens Sailing Week at BEYC set to be a Success

Females from far and near are invited to get their feet wet and learn how to sail or improve their skills October 25 - November 1, 2003 at Bitter End Yacht Clubå‘s 12th Annual Dry Creek Vineyard Womenå‘s Sailing Week.  Combining exceptional hands-on instruction with superb shoreside activities, Womenå‘s Sailing Week offers unique programs and enthusiastic speakers for wh promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience.       
Five-time Rolex Yachtswoman of the year Betsy Alison and big boat racer Martha Parker cover all aspects of skippering, sail trimming, sail changing, crewing and teamwork, as well as overboard recovery techniques, along with their sailing instruction.  Pam Wall, best know for her ‘round the world cruising adventures, enlightens enthusiasts of all skill levels with advice on where and how to cruise offshore. Wall’s slide presentations are not to be missed. To put new skills to use, guests can participate in treasure hunts, match racing, rallies and fleet racing.
Additionally, the week will feature a host of ‘non-sailing’ programs and goodies too great to pass up, including: 
Morning yoga with Debra Hendrikson, Visiting Spa Director from Westward Look Resort in Tucson, Arizona; 

Nutritional Seminars by Sports Nutritionist, Lisa Dorfman, who will speak on “Sailing to Good Health,” the top ten meal and snack choices for land and sea, “Stern-to-the-Bow,” taking your diet and exercise program aloft for energy, strength and endurance and various other healthy eating programs;
Spa Treatments include after sun aloe wrap, facials and massages;
The island’s boutique, the Reeftique, will feature a colloquium defining what “barefoot elegance” really means - complete with a fashion show;
Bitter End Beauty Bag, includes one AMMA yoga outfit per participant plus beauty products;
Other activities include snorkeling, relaxing on the beachfront hammocks and each day’s accomplishments are celebrated with a special happy hour or party.
