Aruba to Switch to Euro

Aruba, the Caribbean Island Where Happiness Lives, has opted to begin accepting the Euro as the currency of choice. The action was approved by the Assembly of Ministers.
Those resident to the Island as well as visitors will pay with euros, but receive change in Aruban florins.
“The introduction of the euro in Aruba will benefit [the island], considering the strong ties Aruba has with the Netherlands and the European Union,” Stated the Ministers.
As yet no date has been given for the change over.
