US Airways and Caribbean Star Alliance

US Airways announced today that Dividend Miles members can now earn and redeem miles on flights operated by Caribbean Star Airlines, a member of the GoCaribbean network, effective immediately.

Dividend Miles members traveling on Caribbean Star now can earn actual miles or a minimum of 500 miles, whichever is greater. Caribbean Star serves thirteen destinations in the Caribbean, including new Dividend Miles destinations of Anguilla, Dominica, Guyana, St.Vincent, Tobago, Tortola and Trinidad. Caribbean Star also serves Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, St. Kitts, St. Lucia and St. Maarten.

“Through this agreement with Caribbean Star, we are pleased to bring our customers even more ways to earn and redeem Dividend Miles,” said Douglas D. Leo, US Airways vice president of international. “Dividend Miles members can now redeem their miles for travel to over 35 island destinations, clearly distinguishing US Airways as a premier carrier in the Caribbean.”

President and COO of Caribbean Star Airlines Paul Moreira commented that the airline is happy to provide this opportunity for Dividend Miles passengers to collect and redeem miles. “The Caribbean is one of the world`s most beautiful regions,” he said, “and the partnership that US Airways and Caribbean Star have forged allows travelers to explore this region in a convenient and economical manner.”

Dividend Miles members can also now accrue and redeem miles on flights operated by Caribbean Sun Airlines.
US Airways will add flights between Charlotte and Mexico City starting Oct. 26, 2003, and between San José, Costa Rica and both Charlotte and Philadelphia on Nov. 8, 2003.

In the Caribbean, US Airways serves Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Cancun, Cozumel, Grand Bahama Island, Grand Cayman, Grenada, Montego Bay, Nassau, Providenciales, Punta Cana, San Juan, Santo Domingo, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and St. Croix. US Airways Express also serves North Eleuthera, Governors Harbour, Marsh Harbour and Treasure Cay from select cities in Florida. Through the GoCaribbean network carriers, US Airways serves Anguilla*, Dominica, St. Eustatius*, Nevis*, Port of Spain, Saba*, St. Barthelemy*, St. Vincent, Tobago, Tortola**, and Georgetown, Guyana.
