Australian superstar Kylie Minogue yesterday unveiled central Londonå‘s first tropical beach in Covent Garden to celebrate the launch of British Airways Holidayså’ new Tropical Beaches brochure for 2004
A 25 metre white sand beach, which has its own palm trees, tropical lagoon, beach bar and holidaymakers, has been installed in Covent Garden Market by British Airways Holidays. Eight luxurious tropical holidays to destinations featured in the brochure can be won.
Kylie said: “I have traveled all over the world and British Airways has always been one of my favourite airlines. Bringing a tropical beach to central London is a fantastic way to get everybody in the mood for summer: feel the sand between your toes! It’s like bringing a bit of Australia to London.”
Jayne O’Brien, BA`s head of UK & Ireland marketing, said: “It’s great that Kylie was one of the first visitors to the British Airways beach. We wanted to make a splash for the launch of our new Tropical Beaches brochure as we have fantastic value for money holidays to offer. The Tropical Beaches brochure features inclusive holidays to 14 tropical destinations, many of them in the Caribbean. These include; Antigua, St Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, Jamaica, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Turks & Caicos, Bermuda, Barbados, and the Grenadines.
