Following its success in 2002, Air Jamaicaå‘s in-flight video magazine Island Stylee received another Silver Screen award for creative in-flight programming this year at the US International Film and Video Festival. It also received a certificate of merit for å“Homeå”, an Air Jamaica television commercial.
Created by Jamaican production company, Frame by Frame, Island Stylee debuted in 1998 and is shown on all Air Jamaica’s north and southbound flights. Hosted by former beauty queen Jamaican Rachel Stuart, the 45-minute program covers the colorful mosaic of the Caribbean, profiling its unique attractions, food, personalities, music, fashion and culture, as well as those in Air Jamaica’s North American and European gateways.
“We are incredibly proud of the Frame by Frame team’s achievement,” said Allen Chastanet, Air Jamaica’s Vice President, Marketing & Sales. “Whilst we have always recognised Stylee’s value in communicating the diversity of our destinations to our passengers, we are doubly proud that the quality and creativity of the production itself has been considered so highly within the film industry two years in a row.”
Island Stylee’s Creative Director is Max Earle. The travelogue is directed by Lukkee Chong and produced by Diba Mohammed.
