Handicapped SCUBA Instruction Course at Divi

Divi Tiara Beach Resort in Cayman Brac will be offering a Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) Instructor Training Course July 15 å- 17, 2003 at its on-site PADI 5 Star Gold Palm dive center, Divi Dive Tiara.
The three-day course will teach dive instructors about thirteen different disabilities, HSA training procedures and Multilevel Certification and special considerations for accessibility, classroom and in-water training and equipment. Included will be ten hours of interactive lectures, five hours of confined water training during which time instructors will be “handicapped” in order to experience what their students will experience and a half-day open water training.
All Dive Masters as well as Certified and Assistant Dive Instructors are eligible for the course, which costs $300 per person. This includes all training, instructor manual, registration and C-card.  Participants must supply their own scuba equipment. 
Since 1986, the HSA Instructor Training Course has taught to more than 2,000 underwater educators throughout the world.
