Jazz is in the air in St. Lucia as the line up for the 2003 festival was launched on Friday December 6th 2002. This yearå‘s line-up was announced amid much excitement from the St. Lucian public. Adding to the excitement was the fact that the line-up was announced live on television and radio for thousands of St. Lucians to hear.
The event was attended by a number of the major players in tourism in St. Lucia as well as a number of the sponsors of St. Lucia Jazz. Director of the St. Lucia Tourist Board Hilary Modeste said, “I am pleased that we have decided to go this route. This is the way it will be done from now on. The live launch has added the right amount of anticipation and we want to maintain that kind of interest leading up to St. Lucia Jazz May 2-11th.”
