Jazz it up in Barbados

An incredible decade of cool sounds and smooth rhythmic blues will be celebrated at the tenth annual Barbados Jazz Festival 2003 - one of the premiere Jazz Festivals in the Caribbean.
The festival will take place from the 13th - 19th January and celebrates the best in international and local Jazz, set against the superb backdrop of Sanbury Plantation House and the ruins of Farley Hill Mansion.
In continuing with the tradition of presenting high-profile artists at the
event, the 2003 Festival will feature no less than the outstanding talent of
Patti Labelle, Chucho Valdez, Regina Belle, Freddie Cole, Al Jarreau, Marcus
Miller and Spyro Gyra.  Performances will be held at several venues around the
island, including the Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex and the west coast
Colony Club Hotel, culminating in the popular Jazz in The Park events at Farley
Hill National Park.

Over the last nine years the Festival has played host to some of the biggest names in Jazz including Dionne Warwick, George Benson, Glady`s Knight and Randy Crawford.
