Cayman Airways has recently announced the launch of a new Grand Cayman-Montego Bay route, which is due to commence on October 28th. This jet service flight will run three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Grand Cayman and will be an extension of Cayman’s Airways other Jamaican route to Kingston. Direct Monday flights are scheduled to leave Grand Cayman at 6.30am arriving in to Montego Bay at 7.15am. Outbound flights on Wednesdays and Fridays depart at 7am and arrive at 9am after a stopover in Kingston. Return flights from Montego Bay depart on Mondays at 7.50 am arriving in Cayman at 9.50am after a stopover in Kingston, while flights on Wednesdays and Fridays leave at 9.35am and arrive into Grand Cayman at 10.20am.
The Cayman Airways planes have extensive capacity for luggage and this may be very advantageous to passengers travelling to and from Jamaica with large amounts of baggage. Coupled with competitive rates, it is hoped that this new route will become an integral part of Cayman Airways flight services.According to Mike Adam, CEO of Cayman Airways, ” we are delighted to be in a position to further extend our routes into Jamaica. This is the first new route we have introduced in some years and we hope that this new addition will benefit the local community as well as Jamaicans visiting Cayman. Cayman Airways ran the GCM-Montego Bay route over 15 years ago and we are very pleased to be returning to this route”.
