Caribbean Star to Sponsor CMEx

Regional commuter carrier Caribbean Star has joined the corporate community in supporting the third Caribbean Media Exchange on Sustainable Tourism (CMEx), to be held at Half Moon Golf, Tennis and Beach Club in Montego Bay, Jamaica, October 17-21, 2002.


“We welcome Caribbean Star on board this increasingly important event in the Caribbean`s tourism calendar,” said Allen Chastanet, Air Jamaica`s Vice President of Marketing and Sales.


Chastanet said in less than one year CMEx - which will focus on the marketing and management aspects of the tourism industry - has become a premier event that “provokes 21st Century thinking” in tourism. “This conference is extremely relevant to the changing face of the hospitality industry.


Conference organizers announced today that the Antigua-based airline will handle air transfers for Caribbean journalists and other conference delegates to and from Air Jamaica`s island hubs of Antigua and Barbados. Caribbean Star will handle delegate connections from Antigua, Grenada, St.
