SuperClubs` Breezes Bahamas will host the first “Islands of The Bahamas” full marathon, October 12, 2002.
The 26.2 mile fast course race will begin and end at SuperClubs Breezes. Amateur and professional racers will follow an out and back course that runs along the Westbay St coastline, through the downtown area and along the Montagu shores.
The group will head back onto to Shirley St. onto Marlborough St., back onto Westbay St passing SuperClubs Breezes and running approximately one mile past Nirvana with a return to SuperClubs Breezes.
The race begins at 6:00 A.M. Contestants will compete in the female and male categories for 20 and under, 30 and under and over thirty. Local and international participants are expected to compete for a grand cash prize, clothing and for trips to SuperClubs Jamaican, Brazilian and Bahamian properties.
