Minister of Works Bradley Roberts, in an interview Sunday afternoon, confirmed that he was strongly considering privatization to bring relief to the financially encumbered National Flag Carrier.

“I don`t know of any other way,” Roberts said, referring to possible solutions to the tailspin at Bahamasair.
The privatization of Bahamasair has been something the previous administration had promised in both their 1992 and 1997 Manifestos, but there was never any movement in that direction
Mr. Roberts indicated that although the airline has its share of problems, similar problems exist at other international airlines as the entire airline industry was going through a very troubling period.
