US Airways Awards Millionth-E-Savers Customers First-Class Caribbean Escape for Two

ARLINGTON, Va., May 22, 2002—When Shirley Morton-Baucom traveled on a US Airways E-Savers ticket to visit her 82-year old aunt in Manchester, N.H., she became US Airways’ 1-millionth E-Savers customer and the recipient of a complimentary first-class Caribbean escape for two.

Morton-Baucom, a 52-year old administrative assistant from Norristown, Pa., plans to travel with her husband to Palm Island, The Grenadines, in the West Indies. They will receive beachfront accommodations for eight days and seven nights at the all-inclusive premier Palm Island resort.

“My husband and I were just married in March, so we are looking forward to spending an unforgettable week at Palm Island. US Airways has given us the opportunity to have a wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime vacation,” said Morton-Baucom.

“It gives me great pleasure to award this exciting Caribbean getaway to Shirley and her husband,” said B. Ben Baldanza, US Airways senior vice president of marketing and planning. “Our E-Savers fares have been hugely successful in providing our customers with incentives to fly.”

“Palm Island is an exclusive vacation paradise and we are looking forward to welcoming the Baucoms to our private 135-acre hideaway,” said Steven E. Heydt, president and chief operating officer, Antigua Resorts and Palm Island.
