Caribbean Star Airlines has announced its support of the Caribbean’s most exciting fashion event. Colin Ash, international model and founder of the Fire and Ash event says the airline’s involvement will go a long way in making this production high profile and truly Caribbean. This is the second year that this breast cancer fundraiser will be taking place and will involve a week of fashion and photo shoots in the beautiful island of Barbados. The week culminates in a show at one of the island’s finest hotels, Sandy Lane. Caribbean Star has been named the official airline of the production and will be flying the models, designers, producers and camera crew into Barbados.

Ash recently met with TV6 of Trinidad and Tobago who have agreed to have a camera crew follow him around the islands courtesy Caribbean Star. This will add a totally different dimension to the event this year, as the television station plans to package the show for distribution throughout the islands. Ash will visit all the airline’s destinations where he will have individual model calls, allowing him to choose two models from each island to be represented at the Fire and Ash in May. While in the islands he will also take the opportunity to meet with designers who will be invited to provide the clothes for this event.

Star’s Marketing Director, Sandra Scotland says it is their policy to get involved in the activities of the islands to which they fly and to this end she has placed sponsorships very high on the airline’s agenda. Just over one year in the skies, Caribbean Star Airlines has been the major sponsors of many events in sports, culture, music and much more. Scotland says that fashion is just another way of playing their part in uniting the islands and of course supporting a worthy cause.

The potential models (females) should be between 5’8” to 6’2” and the male models, between 5’10” and 6’2”
