Transamerica Selects Concur’s EmployeeDesktop for Enterprise-Wide Travel Expense Automation

Concur Technologies (NASDAQ: CNQR), the leading provider of workplace eCommerce solutions, announced today that Transamerica Corp. has selected EmployeeDesktop?, Concur’s employee business portal which integrates Concur’s suite of workplace eCommerce solutions, for more than 8,000 employees. Transamerica, a leading San Francisco-based financial services company and wholly owned subsidiary of AEGON N.V. (NYSE: AEG), will use Concur’s EmployeeDesktop via its corporate Intranet to automate its paper-based travel and entertainment expense reporting process for reduced costs and increased employee productivity.

“We saw a great opportunity to streamline the entire travel and entertainment expense management process,” explained Judith Goodman, director of technology services, Transamerica. “Concur’s solution allows us to bring our expense management process to the Web for increased cost savings and improved process efficiencies across our organization. Concur has a proven solution which made this decision a low risk for Transamerica.”

“Transamerica is an excellent example of a forward-thinking company that has recognized the potential of Web technologies to advance the achievement of its business goals,” said Steve Singh, president and chief executive officer of Concur. “With our workplace eCommerce solutions, companies are rewarded with dramatic bottom-line improvements and benefits that extend across the entire organization. Transamerica joins the hundreds of companies that have selected our solutions to date.”

With EmployeeDesktop, Transamerica can leverage its existing Intranet platform by eliminating the need to install the product on every desktop, reducing time spent by the IT department on internal maintenance and product upgrades. The solution also provides automatic notification of non-compliant entries, and enables Transamerica to utilize expense data to negotiate preferred pricing with vendors.

Additionally, travelers will prepare expense reports via the Web faster and more accurately, aided by the direct population of expense data from their American Express (NYSE: AXP) corporate charge cards into their expense reports.
