HubX Helps Amfac Parks & Resorts Reduce Cost and Improve Online Booking

14th Dec 2001

Following a 6-month pilot project that exceeded everyone`s expectations, HubX has signed an agreement with Amfac Parks & Resorts to provide a tailored version of X-VIBE services, the proprietary HubX booking engine, for the company`s 32 hotels.

Amfac Parks & Resorts is the country`s largest park and resort management company.
“Amfac has diverse operations with wide-ranging reservations needs, and the HubX booking engine was clearly able to accommodate all of our reservations situations,” said Richard Rabinoff, Amfac Director of Hospitality Systems. “The HubX staff was responsive to our needs and was able to implement the system in a very short time.”

The deciding factor in choosing HubX was the combination of cost reduction and improved functionality, Rabinoff said. “If they simply had been replicating what we had, without the cost reductions or functionality enhancements, we would probably not have been interested. Instead, HubX allowed us to improve the operating efficiencies of what we offer to our guests and to ourselves.”

X-VIBE allows the hotel`s property management system to accept electronic reservations from Internet booking engines automatically. X-VIBE links directly with the Amfac reservations system inventory to make it available for website bookings and then processes the bookings directly back to the reservations system without manual intervention of any kind. Amfac is looking at additional HubX enhancements to its online presence and booking capabilities in the future.
