New Partnership for Sidestep.

SideStep has announced a partnership with Carlson Wagonlit Travel (Canada) in which CWT will use SideStep`s award-winning travel search tool to book travel for one of its key global clients.

Carlson Wagonlit and SideStep have begun their relationship by deploying a customized version of SideStep at the CWT North American Call Center of a major corporate customer. SideStep searches more than 100 different Web sites for Internet, GDS, and non-GDS faring options, seamlessly integrating Web inventory with that of independent consolidators and Global Distribution Systems. Increasingly, travelers are asking for a more complete view of the travel marketplace than is available through conventional systems. In partnership with SideStep, Carlson Wagonlit will deliver greater value by providing the most comprehensive set of travel options, while saving time and upholding the managed travel process.

SideStep has grown rapidly since its launch in November 2000 to secure a leadership role in the leisure and unmanaged business travel markets. To accelerate its expansion into the corporate travel market, SideStep has chosen to partner with Carlson Wagonlit Travel, a firm with a deep understanding of corporate customers` needs, such as policy management, reporting, and the implementation of preferred supplier agreements. The CWT network has more than 3,000 locations in 141 countries, giving the company the largest global reach of any corporate or leisure travel agency. With clients that include General Electric, IBM, Compaq, Nortel Networks and British Petroleum, the firm generates more than $12 billion in annual sales.
