Shell Chooses KDS Solutions for Business Travel Management.

Shell International Ltd (Shell) has selected KDS Solutions and Services for its business travel management system. KDS will deploy a complete e-procurement solution for business travel at Shell, including a self-booking engine based on KDS`s ASP technology.
KDS`s Internet-based business travel solution will enable Shell to reduce its travel costs by automating travel purchasing, reducing booking time and increasing productivity in administrative tasks. It will also ensure global consistency of company travel policy and optimize negotiations with suppliers.

Shell initially intends to implement KDS Solutions in the UK and the Netherlands, serving over more than 10,000 travelers. Configuration and deployment activities have already started and the company expects online booking to reach 25 percent in the first year.

We are convinced that KDS will help us better control and manage corporate travel processes,” said Albert Kilsdonk, Shell`s Business Travel Manager. “KDS`s system will work with our agent, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, and we will gain additional benefit from the synergy between the two.”

As part of its new business travel solution, Shell will use KDS Hosting and KDS Professional Services for the deployment and the hosting of KDS Corporate and KDS Live Agent.

KDS Corporate is KDS`s business travel e-procurement solution for large enterprises. It is adapted to their specific needs and requirements. KDS Live Agent is KDS`s new innovative collaborative solution for travel booking assistance. It enables travel agents to provide real-time support to travelers during their booking process. KDS Hosting Services is a 24/7 highly reliable ASP platform for customers, offering access to GDSs and direct links to suppliers through a highly secure hardware and software environment. KDS Professional Services is a full set of services to ensure project success, including consulting, customization, administration, technical implementation, integration, training, change management, deployment and helpdesk.
