Magellan`s Web site has become a valued resource for travelers in search of information and products to make their journeys more comfortable, safe, and rewarding.
The popular site has just been redesigned to make it easier than ever for travelers to find what they need, even if they don`t know what they need.
“When we talk to customers on the phone, we always ask where they are traveling,” says Bob Manning, Magellan`s C.O.O. “That way, we can be sure they are ordering the correct things, and that they`re not forgetting anything.” The new site allows travelers to shop by destination, activity, or traveler type, as well as browsing by item. For example, if a traveler is going on safari, they can view all the recommended products and then easily add some or all of these items to their order using the new ePacking List option, instead of adding the items one at a time. Each product page includes helpful travel tips, and space for customer reviews. The updated Info Center includes travel articles and destination information, to help with travel planning. “Our goal is always to make it as easy as possible for customers to find what they`re looking for, and place their order without hassle,” says Michael Sadowski, Magellan`s M.I.S. Director. “Our new site includes dozens of small `behind the scenes` improvements. We considered years of customer feedback as we were designing this site.”
