Booking rooms online at Comfort, Quality, Clarion, Sleep Inn, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn and MainStay Suites brand hotels is now significantly easier thanks to a complete redesign of, the official web site of Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH), worldwide franchisor of the seven brands.

“The online environment demands change and evolution,” said Don Brockway, vice president, worldwide reservations for Choice. “This dynamic redesign of our site puts Choice well ahead of the curve in providing travelers with the information and features they need to plan their business and leisure trips online.

“Since our debut almost five years ago as one of the first major hotel chains to offer online booking, revenue and room nights sold via has tripled each year over the year prior,” said Brockway. “This new design capitalizes on our online success by making our site easier to find and easier to navigate.”

Specifically, said Brockway, the new site highlights Choice’s seven individual brands and underscores the company’s global presence. “Through graphics and easy-to-use search tools, the site electronically demonstrates our ability to match travelers to the price points and worldwide destinations they’re looking for.”
In addition to a bold new look featuring consistent, colorful graphics, the site offers the following renovations and updates:

Brand-specific points of entry.  Each of Choice’s seven brands now has its own homepage, featuring brand-specific descriptors, initiatives and promotions. For instance, travelers looking to stay at a Comfort Inn may log on to and immediately see property logos and photos as well as detailed information on Comfort brand amenities and special promotions. A seven-brand page - - will be maintained for travelers looking to “one-stop shop,” or book multiple brands at once. Consistent design elements will connect each brand -specific home page and the seven-brand page, and each will offer the same menu of links: Travel Agent City (for agents only), Guest Privileges (Choice’s frequent stay program), Hot Deals, View a Reservation, and Group Reservations.


Geographic Links.  Each of the brand-specific pages and the seven-brand page feature graphics depicting destinations within the seven continents. Travelers need only click on the destination continent of their choice, then select a specific country and city to narrow their search. The site will then provide information on all Choice brand product available in the destination desired.

Updated look for existing site features.  Features of the site since its inception are now easier to navigate. Hotel-specific information, including electronic brochures and photos, is easier to access. Rate information is provided in a more user-friendly format. And booking a room online requires fewer steps and generates a confirmation page that may include coupons and/or listings of attractions at the destination location.
