IntelGo Announces Automatic Embassy Registration and Destination Hotel Faxes.

IntelGo Information Systems, a Miami company providing destination intelligence services to corporations and travel agencies, announces two new products to its line of travel intelligence services.

IntelGo`s EmbassyFlash system automatically registers a corporate or leisure traveler with the embassy or local consulate of the traveler`s home country. Upon arrival in a foreign country, the United States Department of State recommends that travelers contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to register their presence. This enables the State Department to contact the traveler and to provide assistance in the event of an emergency. Many, if not most, travelers fail to take this important step either because they do not know of the services provided by the State Department or because of time constraints.

IntelGo`s FaxFlash system extracts daily destination information for the traveler from the IntelGo news database and automatically sends a copy of relevant information to the traveler`s hotel in a newsletter format. The FaxFlash newsletter contains bulletins of interest and security alerts, if any, for the traveler`s destination. The service is also available via PDA`s such as Palm Pilot and handheld PC`s. Both EmbassyFlash and FaxFlash are available through IntelGo`s Content Syndication Program, which allows travel agencies and corporations to private label the IntelGo database and to distribute that information via an agency or client intranet. “These systems are truly unique and a giant step ahead of any similar services,” says Donal McSullivan, IntelGo`s executive vice-president. “No other company is now offering the range of services that IntelGo offers in the destination intelligence field, and there are more exciting new products to come very shortly.”

“Our basic program is free to travel agencies and corporate meeting planners, and permits a travel agent to send destination reports and updates to clients automatically. Clients and travelers are looking for assurance right now, and IntelGo provides them with a high level of comfort. In addition, it protects the agency by providing proof positive that the agency has made the client aware of the current status of their destination. No destination intelligence program provides the level of destination awareness that IntelGo provides at no cost to the agency.”
