Ryanair Web Site Seat Giveaway.

Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline is giving away 300,000 free one way seats for travel on 30 of its 56 international routes between the UK and Europe as part of the airlines continuing campaign to boost consumer confidence in air travel following 11 September last.

From 1st to 18th December, and again from 8th to 31st January 200,000 seats on routes from London Stansted, 50,000 seats from Glasgow Prestwick and 50,000 seats from Brussels Charleroi will be given away free on Ryanair’s Web site at a one way fare of GBP 0.00, that’s right zero! With passengers paying only the government imposed air passenger duty (GBP 5) plus the relevant airport passenger service charges which in the UK range from GBP 3.50 to GBP 5.00.

Passengers will be able to choose from 30 European destinations from London ranging from Dublin, Glasgow, Venice and Turin in Italy, Salzburg in Austria, Oslo and Stockholm in Sweden. Travel on these freebies is allowed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and selected flights on Saturdays.

Announcing the details of this biggest ever give-away, Ryanair’s Director of Sales and Marketing in the UK, Tim Jeans said; “We have been working towards `free flights` for a couple of years now. Many of our competitors previously questioned whether we would ever be able to give away free seats. Well today Ryanair proves the doubters wrong. We will give away 300,000 seats for travel in the next two months entirely free. All the passenger pays is the UK duty and the relevant airport passenger service fee. There has never been a better time or a bigger saving to travel abroad and do some pre-Christmas shopping or visit friends and family. Clearly at these crazy prices, in fact no price at all! Passengers should book immediately as these free seats will disappear faster than free drinks at a Christmas party.” Conditions and blackout dates apply.
