Super 8 Revs Up Home Page to Make On-line Reservations Easy and Fun

Super 8 is making on-line reservations simpler and fun for consumers with a re-design of its Internet web site. The new look at will be up and running April 3. The announcement was made today at the chain’s International convention in Nashville.

New features that will make reserving rooms online easier include the much-requested instant reservations feature. A mapping service with driving directions and a search index where guests can type in requests for information about business, family or senior travel, weekend getaways and sports events, will help our new guests find motels faster. Also, over the next few months, the site will have photos of every Super 8 motel.

Consumers will also find the site fun to use. Taking advantage of Super 8’s associate sponsorship of NASCAR driver Bill Elliott, the web page will feature the sound of Bill’s #94 Ford Taurus revving its engine when guests click on ‘Go,’ giving a new meaning to the term ‘search engine.’
“In just two years, the impact to our online reservations has been quicker and stronger than we ever imagined,” said Vice President of Field Marketing Linda Arnold. “The improvements to the site will ensure that making reservations are as easy as possible, regardless of how Internet savvy a consumer is. Finally, this is a clear illustration of how Super 8 and other Cendant subsidiaries are benefiting through the convergence of off-line and online businesses; a strategy that is being spearheaded by Cendant Internet Group along with the corporation’s Travel Division. ”
