U.S. Franchise System Teams Up With MPower From Ramesys

Ramesys Hospitality Inc, a leading provider of IT solutions to the economy/budget, mid and resort lodging industry, announces the franchisors of Microtel Inn & Suites, Hawthorn Suites and Best Inns & Suites hotel brands, have signed agreements to install the Ramesys MPower data warehouse in their 500 plus properties.

The Microtel, Hawthorn and Best brands are wholly owned subsidiaries of U.S. Franchise Systems, Inc. MPower was originally designed to work with Ramesys` ImagInn property management system but has been further enhanced to incorporate data from various sources, including property management and point of sale systems. It operates by creating a powerful data warehouse that monitors financial, reservation and guest activity.
Customized reports, such as forecasting, financial and guest patterns for the accounting department, sales department or managers, are then produced.
MPower delivers site level data, in addition to consolidating information on each hotel in a group.
According to Steve Jacobs, acting CIO of USFS, “We proceeded with the MPower contract to accomplish three objectives. First, we felt it was important to monitor a frequent traveler program, enabling USFS to track our loyal customer base. Second, due to the demand for efficiency in a timely manner by our customers, we wanted to begin an e-folio program where customers receive their bill online. Finally, we were interested in tracking travel agent information. All of these objectives were able to be met with the Ramesys MPower system, therefore, making us more capable of catering to our customers` wants and needs.”
