Expansion in Europe for Expedia.
Expedia, Inc. is expanding its international offerings into Netherlands and Italy via expedia.nl and expedia.it, respectively.
The new sites give Expedia a presence in a total of five European countries, adding to existing Expedia services in the UK and Germany and recently-announced plans to launch in France. This is the latest evidence of Expedia`s growth and strength in Europe.
Meanwhile, Expedia.co.uk customers who use Microsoft Windows XP will be able to receive notifications specific to their needs through a Windows Messenger tab. Updates on news, such as flight delays and Fare Tracker information, will be sent direct to them, wherever they may be. This is something no other travel partner will have to offer.
Expedia.co.uk is also a Microsoft Passport enabled site, allowing users who have cached their details in Microsoft Windows XP to save time when booking their travel.
