With more and more business and leisure travellers seeking a high-speed connection to the Internet while on the road, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) is poised to meet this increasing demand and has selected Unisys Hospitality Solutions to enable their new broadband services in guest and meeting rooms, said Unisys (NYSE: UIS) today.

Under this agreement, Unisys has already wired five Starwood properties: the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers, Sheraton Manhattan Hotel, W New York - The Court, and W New York - The Tuscany in New York City, and The Westin Stamford in Stamford, Conn., with in-room broadband service. High-speed
Internet access will be available through Cisco Ethernet jacks in guest rooms and meeting rooms.  Travellers, using their own laptops, can access a variety of Internet services from the road just as easily as from their office.
During the past several years, Unisys has installed high-speed networks in nearly 400 hotels, via their InRoom Connect Hospitality Solutions unit, which features a variety of solutions and support services for hotels seeking to leverage the Internet. Installation and support services include Help Desk and Network Monitoring, customer loyalty initiatives and a soon to be introduced digital video-on-demand (VOD) solution.

Starwood selected Unisys Global Network Services to provide the infrastructure wiring, installation and support services for their new broadband solution, which runs on Starwood`s Cisco-based broadband network. Unisys builds on its expertise as a Cisco Global Support Partner for Building Broadband Solutions to deliver this full range of network services.  In addition, Unisys is providing Starwood with marketing assistance to introduce their broadband solution to their managed and franchise properties.
