Online Travel Corporation Doubles Sales and Acquires More Sites.

Online Travel Corporation has reported strong growth in year-on-year sales despite the market downturn, announcing an increase in turnover of more than 90%.

In a bold move set to reinforce OTC`s position as the UK`s leading e-travel group, the company has also acquired the If You Travel group of specialist travel sites.

OTC, which provides travel content and fulfilment services to online forces including Virgin.net, Freeserve and Expedia, and owns Bargainholidays.com and 1Ski.com, was buoyed in October by almost treble the number of transactions made on its sites against the same month last year.

The company`s acquisition of the If You Travel group, whose stable of specialist ski, golf and adventure travel brands also supplies customised content to leading portals including aol.co.uk, excite.co.uk, yahoo.co.uk and lastminute.com, will enhance all OTC-powered travel websites. OTC will introduce the sites` content to its 80 white-label customers, and will further develop the If You Travel brand by integrating powerful OTC technology and products into the newly-acquired sites.
