New Chairman Appointed to Airsphere
Following the forging of an alliance with Sabre, AirSphere, a Web-based technology provider for the aviation industry, has announced that Peter A. Pappas has joined the company as Chairman.
Using a web-based platform, AirSphere`s products provide vital links that join major players such as Airlines, Ground Service Providers and Airports, enabling them to share and synchronize all imperative information involved in flight operations. Commenting on the appointment of Mr Pappas, Niv Schwartz, CEO of AirSphere said, “Pete`s vast experience in the airline industry along with his knowledge of airport operations will contribute to AirSphere`s rapid growth. His direction and guidance will greatly strengthen our management team and will enhance our ability to reach a wide variety of customers.”
Mr Pappas has more than 30 years experience in the aviation industry, with the majority of those years coming as an executive and officer at American Airlines. His assignments have encompassed all phases of airline operations to include strategic planning, operations, marketing, sales and services. At American, he also served as the President of several subsidiaries including the AMR Consulting Group and AMR Services. Prior to joining AirSphere, Peter Pappas was Chairman and CEO of Worldwide Flight Services. During his three years at Worldwide, he successfully repositioned and grew the company into the largest independent provider of aviation ground handling services.
