Hotel.co.uk, the online search and booking service, has developed a range of new features and services to help website visitors quickly locate accommodation in the UK, US and the rest of the world. (9/28/2001)
The new features include:
á á Theatrebreaks - London accommodation can now be booked to tie in with tickets to hit musicals including Cats, Chicago, Les Miserables and Mamma Mia.
á á Special offers - lists hotels offering special rates on accommodation.
á á Brand search - allows visitors to search for hotels by brand and includes all the well-known, global chains such as Hilton, Marriot, Holiday Inn and Le Meridien.
á á E-zine - a weekly e-zine highlighting special offers, festivals, new features available through the website and reviews of hotels by its visitors in the Guestbook.
á á Top ten cities - a new search facility that allows you to click straight to the most visited cities direct from the homepage.
David Ranby, marketing manager for hotelnet.co.uk, says, “By adding these new features we hope to make it even easier to book accommodation through the hotelnet.co.uk site. We are continually looking at ways to improve our service and welcome comments and suggestions from our 100,000+ weekly visitors.”
Unlike many other travel sites, hotelnet.co.uk’s content is exclusively accommodation-based. This allows the site to list a much wider selection of hotels, from two to five star, and to provide the customer with all the information they need to feel comfortable with their booking.
The site has been running successfully for more than six years and, with over 40,000 hotels listed, hotelnet.co.uk is the first stop for finding a hotel in the UK, Europe and North America. Currently over 98 per cent of hotels on the site provide live online bookings, with this figure increasing to 100 per cent within the next few months. Customers are able to check availability online and bookings are confirmed there and then - there is no waiting for confirmation by email or post.
