McCord Group Travel Services has announced a partnership with Cardinal Communications` RegWeb that will provide clients with a state-of-the-art, web-based meeting registration and management tool.
Using the RegWeb technology will enable McCord GTS to enhance its ability to quickly develop customized registration web sites for its clients. The sites include real time tracking and reporting capabilities, automatic e-mail response mechanisms and registration flexibility for multiple users. The system does not require any software or downloading of files; only an Internet connection is needed. The new system will augment an internally developed system that McCord GTS had used for the last several years.
Clients, McCord GTS personnel, and approved third parties, such as an event hotel, can use an administrative link within the site to access their own reports, whenever they need them. This simplifies tasks such as sending rooming lists to hotels. With permission for McCord GTS, hotels can create their own rooming list for a particular event. Each registration form can be customized to collect whatever information a client requires. Reports can be generated with the click of the mouse. Another advantage of RegWeb is that there is no limit to the number of users who can work within an event database at any given time. This allows McCord GTS to handle extremely large volumes of registrations, either prior to an event or on-site at a conference. The system also permits attendees to return to their registration at any time, so that they can edit their reservation without having to call an 800 number during particular business hours.
